Where did the Premier Travel story start?

The Premier Travel story began in 1936, right here in Cambridge. We started as a small, family-run travel agency, helping local residents plan their adventures, and have grown into a trusted name in travel across the UK. Our Cambridge branch has been part of the community for 68 years, establishing itself as a cornerstone for those seeking expert travel advice and exceptional service. For those that don’t know, what do Premier Travel specialise in? We specialise in creating tailor-made holidays that cater to our customers’ unique preferences. Whether it’s bespoke long-haul adventures, luxury cruises, escorted tours, or UK breaks, we pride ourselves on offering expert advice and personalised service at every step of the journey.

Where are some of your favourite holiday hotspots?

Our team has a passion for travel, and our favourite hotspots reflect our diverse tastes! We love the pristine beaches of the Maldives, the vibrant streets of New York City, the historic charm of Italy, and the
natural wonders of South Africa. Closer to home, we can’t get enough of the Channel Islands for their unique blend of British and French culture. Which are the most popular travel destinations booking up for 2025? For 2025, we’re seeing a surge in demand for bucket-list destinations like Japan, Australia, and New Zealand, as well as family-friendly favourites such as Florida and the Canary Islands. River cruises through Europe and luxury stays in the Indian Ocean are also topping the list.

What do you love about being an independent business based in Cambridge?

We love being part of the vibrant Cambridge community, where we’ve built lasting relationships with our customers over generations. Being independent allows us the freedom to provide genuinely tailored
advice and create holidays that are truly memorable, all while contributing to the local economy.

Finally, what are your top three tips for anyone booking a holiday?
